Rosette Spoonbills are a large pink bird with a bill in the shape of a spoon. They are interesting to watch as they challenge each other to a tree limb during mating season as shown in this photo. The rookery on High Island on the Texas Gulf Coast is busy with mating birds in the months of April and May.
